Netherhood Welcome Wagon – Miss Pew Pew

Hello everyone! Today I’d like to introduce you to Aidrana of Miss Pew Pew.

Aidrana was introduced to Blizzard games through her adventures with Diablo and started playing WoW towards the end of The Burning Crusade. She started exploring the end game in the middle of WotLK and hasn’t looked back since. She is currently enjoying her time tackling Cataclysm’s raid content with a great group of friends. If you can’t find her in game, you are likely to find her behind a camera, or perhaps playing around in photoshop.

Aidrana started her blog in hopes to meet more of the community, and share her experiences in the game. You can find her thoughts on flexible raid rosters, playing with a disability in WoW or working with two healers in raids. You can also learn a little bit about each of her characters, raiding without vent or see her artist’s eye in a series of screen shots!

Whether you are looking for some druid information, raiding information or just plain fun, Aidrana can help you out! I know that I’m looking forward to reading more. Welcome to the Blogosphere, Aidrana!

Every Tuesday, Beruthiel from Falling Leaves and Wings is bringing you the Welcome Wagon, introducing new bloggers and great reads. If you know of a new blog to the scene or wish to get your name out there, please send an email to fallingleaves51@gmail.com, with the subject line “Welcome Wagon.” She’ll do her best to highlight as many as possible

Shared Topic: Tracking Time

Last week Danslate asked about the flow of time in Azeroth:

Note: This topic was originally mentioned by Rioriel on Twitter and discussed and developed further by Rioriel, Angelya and myself. Therefore, if any credit is due, it is due to them (especially Rioriel for spawning the idea). Of course, I leave it to the moderators’ discretion to shorten the actual Shared Topic or edit it for concision.

Here is Rioriel’s original tweet:

Quote:
Other than the general passing of years, there’s no defined calendar in Azeroth. What would you name the months? #Warcraft

I would like to further this idea a bit:

Time passes, in real life and in WoW. But except for how long a day and a year are, we know virtually nothing about the calendar in Azeroth. Are there also twelve months in Azeroth as there are here? How long are they? Only because February is 28 days long in the calendars of Western civilizations doesn’t mean Azeroth’s February has to have the same length.
As there are many different civilizations with their own languages spread throughout Azeroth, what names might the days and months have?

Giving us there thoughts were:

Akabeko from Red Cow Rise

Kajite from Around Azeroth

Danslate from Danslayers

This week bloggers are making their own legendaries! To participate, blog about the topic and link back to your post in this thread.

It’s also the holiday season, yet our shared topic wish list is rather shy of topics. Give your favorite forums a holiday gift with a great topic!

Netherhood Welcome Wagon – Bubbles of Mischief

Hello Everyone! I’d like you to join me in welcoming Cymre of Bubbles of Mischief.

Cymre has been playing WoW since Vanilla, starting off her adventures as a hunter. However as the Burning Crusade was about to change the face of WoW forever, Cymre decided to see how it felt to turn in her arrows and find the light – or more simply known as rerolling a priest. She is a bit of an achievement hound, using her free time to chase them all down. In addition to managing her guild website, “catching them all” when it comes to non-combat pets and keeping up to speed on her professions, Cymre has become quite the fashionista! She’s discovered tons of ways to dress herself up for any adventure or activity in the game.

Over atBubbles of Mischief you might learn a little bit about Captain Sanders and his mysterious treasure map, or perhaps you have been dying to know how to craft a Buffy outfit for transmog purposes. Not into Buffy? Well that’s ok, we can’t all be perfect. Maybe you are looking for that perfect style putzing around with Archeaology! What do you mean you aren’t into dressing up?! Fine. Perhaps you would be more interested in learning about Azshara or maybe find out how to spend your time out at the Darkmoon Faire!

Regardless of what you are looking for, Cymre is sure to have something to tickle your fancy! I certainly can’t wait to see what kind of clever outfits she finds next! Welcome to the blogosphere, Cymre!
