Wow, Day 1 was a BLAST at Blizzcon 2010. We had a cool announcement about the LAST class in Diablo 3, the Demon Hunter and there was a very cool a/v ear exploding version of the Cataclysm Cinematic. Not a lot of new information, really about WoW except for the stuff coming up in 4.1! I’m still excited about Cataclysm and their already showing 4.1 stuff! Also they went over what they are doing to make the dungeons and raids more interesting and fun for 4.0.1 and beyond.
Now it’s time for day 2! Today there are two Q&A sessions I’m planning on going to and then do some more wandering and taking pictures. It’s great fun hanging out with everyone here and I have to say that’s my favorite part of the convention! Head over to the Day 2 Liveblog Page to follow all the “action”!
Speaking of hanging out, the Second Twisted Nether Blogcast Blizzcon Meetup (STNBBM) was a HUGE success. We had a ton of people show up to our little porch at Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Co. and gave away some amazing loot including a Murloc Stein courtesy of Blizzard themselves (thank you so much to Kat Hunter for her awesomeness). We helped close the place down and it seemed like everyone had a great time. Thanks to all who showed up. Unfortunately our livesteam of the festivities didn’t work out so well because:
- My internet connection was being somewhat flaky
- We never got a chance to plug in the power and so my laptop shut itself down…
Thanks to everyone that showed up in the chatroom to try to hang with us! We’ll get you guys some givaways when we can! Make sure you show up to our Blizzcon recap show next Saturday night!
Don’t forget to head over to our Flikr page to see SOME of the pictures I took on Day 1 and at the TNB Meetup. I’ll put up more when I get home and after other people get me the ones they took (especially of the meetup).
Thanks for the blizzcon coverage this year. Looking forward to hearing your next podcast with coverage.
Great meet up, I was excited that we were able to get in, TNB people were just great. The prizes, the people, the funny convos will last till next year for sure. We might need to make up a reason to visit marthastewartcon just to do it again sooner.
My 7 year old loves the shirt I won, it made his day on how dad got him his fat Blizzcon loots!
You got a great group here and can’t wait to here the follow up podcast!
