This week we welcome StealthySlyth from GamingAngels.com to the show. We met her briefly at the TNB Meetup at Blizzcon and invited her on to talk with us! Sorry for all the technical issues this week. Nothing seemed to want to work well, but we did as best we could with what we had. Other things we talked about include the Battle Resurrection changes and the merging of battlegroups! There are a bunch of Shared Topics and a TON of introduced blogs from Blog Azeroth. |

Ophelie Sunday, 7th of November 2010 at 03:54:09 PM This week’s timely Shared Topic was suggested by Sionel of Eight Paws about the place in Azeroth that feels most like a home to our character or characters:
What does ‘home’ mean in your book? Do you have a particular home in Azeroth – a place you feel you belong, that you know like the back of your hand, or that you feel more comfortable in than anywhere else? Would this be different for different characters or different factions, or is there just a place that really resonates with you? Do you think Cataclysm will prompt you to find new and different turf, or will you be heading back there first thing to see what might have changed? If it is destroyed, how do you think that will affect your experience of the game, or your characters’ lives? Or do you think the whole idea of having a home doesn’t even really apply to a game?
The answers were as diverse as could be: everyone has their own definition of “home” in game. Check out those of:
Sionel from Eight Paws
Elkagorasa from Elkagorasa the Casual
Cryptic from Blessing of the Grove
Kallixta from Kallixta’s Notes
Erinys from The Harpy’s Nest
Akabeko from Red Cow Rise
Tedluck from Good Morning Azeroth
Dragonray from Azerothian Life
Next week’s Shared Topic is about classes and raiding. Why would a raid bring your class along? How can you play your class in a way to secure a spot in a raid? Write about it and share a link to your post in the thread at Blog Azeroth!

It seems that Deathwing will not be the only thing bringing changes to Azeroth as we know it, something new and exciting seems to be afoot over on the new WoW community site including the introduction of the new battle.net based forums! My name is Beruthiel and I’m here today to give you a little bit of a primer on how to navigate the new forums. While you are trying to find your way around this uncharted territory please take note that there are several new and exciting areas that are still under construction – including the migration of your realm forums over to the new battle.net system.

Hey Buckaroos and uh… Buckaraas? (that just doesn’t look right) We’re LIVE this Saturday, as usual, with the most awesome StealthySlyth a Senior Gaming and MMO Editor for Gaming Angels! She writes their Monthly ”The State of Azeroth” column in addition to keeping us all up to date with everything else WoW and MMO. Warning that we might start a little later than normal, but I’ll try to keep everyone up to date on what is going on via Twitter (http://twitter.com/Twistednether ) |
- When is it?: This live show is scheduled for Saturday November 6th at 8pm PT (11pm ET). Not sure what time that is for you? Use this handy-dandy time converter!
- Where do I go? To participate on the live show, you will need to go to the TNB Live Show page to connect with the stream. See, totally easy. If you are having issues then go to the Ustream page. Don’t forget to register/login to UStream so you can chat with us!
- Some general ground rules:
- Be nice. If you say very inappropriate things be aware you will be kicked from the room. We are doing this to have a great time, come with a beer, come during a raid, come how you wish, just don’t come to cause trouble.
- You may ask questions to the participants during the show, but we reserve the right to use them if and when we can. We will be monitoring the chat room and if we can we will use the comments during the show. We love that you are with us, but we will have to weave them in. Even if it isn’t asked, we all appreciate your questions!
Outside of that, we will love to have you join us and partake in an enlightening discussion that is sure to follow! Hope to see you there!

Hey! We’re back from Blizzcon 2010 and busy recuperating still. This week’s show, of course, is all about Blizzcon! But we don’t just sit around and talk about it, we asked YOU what you thought about Blizzcon this year. We got some emails, a voicemail and even brought on 2 past guests (and TNB meetup attendees) to give us their lowdown.
Besides all that your hosts are joined by Daewin (from Polygamerous and RGCG) and Stop (from The Stoppable Force) to help us commentate on the emails and give their impressions of the goings on. We also talk about the meetup and go through all the great stuff we gave away.
Oh, if you were on the receiving end of our giveaway at Blizzcon (you won something) please email info@twistednether.net and let us know who you are and what you won. We really want to get a post together with info from each of the winners. If you won something you can “pose” with, get a picture and we’ll add that too! |
