Netherhood Welcome Wagon – The Lazy Tree

Hello Everyone! I’d like you to join me in welcoming Rayze of The Lazy Tree!

Rayze started playing WoW somewhere around patch 3.2, and while being a long time fan of RPG types games, he was new to the MMO experience. Not wanting anything to do with raiding when he started the game, he joined a social guild. He spent the start of his WoW career dancing naked in Ashenvale, retro-raiding and jumping from the dam in Loch Modan. Soon enough, however, Rayze was bitten by the raiding bug and started raiding on his Warlock to see what it was all about.

Rayze raided on his warlock until mid Tier 11, when he decided he wanted to give healing a go and started raiding on his Druid. He loved the change of pace, and started avidly digesting the many druid and healing focused blogs available. At some point he felt that he wanted to contribute his thoughts on raiding, healing and WoW in general and started up The Lazy Tree!

Rayze has started out fantastically! You can find a some guidance on setting up Tell Me When and a resource page of helpful healing information. If that isn’t interesting enough for you, perhaps you might be more interested in his thoughts on Transmorgification or his thoughts on the upcoming Wild Growth Nerf.

Rayze is off to a great start!  I can’t wait to read more of his thoughts.  Welcome to the Blogosphere, Rayze!

Every Tuesday, Beruthiel from Falling Leaves and Wings is bringing you the Welcome Wagon, introducing new bloggers and great reads. If you know of a new blog to the scene or wish to get your name out there, please send an email to fallingleaves51@gmail.com, with the subject line “Welcome Wagon.” She’ll do her best to highlight as many as possible

Update – Attention All Bloggers: Blizzcon Liveblog Recruitment Team

Greetings everyone!

_____________________________________________________________________
UPDATE Thank you very much to our two volunteers for the Blizzcon LiveBlogging team! So far we have help covering the event on Friday but I will still need help with the event on Saturday. We will be using coveritlive, tonight Fimlys and I should have it all set up and ready to go. Please please please contact me if you are able to help out on Saturday as I can promise I will not be able to cover all of the relevant information in all the panels alone. Since I’ll be parked in front of my office computer I plan on being in Skype as well, so folks can call in to give some opinions or reviews of their own, and anyone liveblogging can chat back and forth to get some cross-pollination of the panels. Please let me know quickly if you are able to join us!
_____________________________________________________________________

This year I am once again unable to go to Blizzcon, but I will be enjoying the coverage from home with the DirecTV streaming package just as I did last year.

I volunteered to do some liveblogging of the event here on TNB and I told Fimlys and Hydra I’d like to put together a small team so we can make sure to get coverage of each event. So this is the call to arms.

Will you be watching the Blizzcon coverage from home this year? Would you like to liveblog one or more of the events while doing so, and have the opportunity to share your views and opinions on what is taking place as it happens? Here is your chance!

Send an email to info@twsitednether.net and put in the subject line “Blizzcon Liveblogging Team” and I will compile a list of all those wanting to liveblog the event and we’ll get together in either a collaborative doc or in chat of some type and go over the event schedule and who would like to blog what.

I know for me personally, the events taking place early in the event on Friday will be difficult as I am working that day, so having some assignments for those events would be a huge help.

Thanks everyone, and I look forward to being able to participate in the event with everyone, even if I am on the opposite end of the country!

Cheers!

~Ril

TNB Live Sunday 10/16 – Stopcast

We are pleased to welcome the hosts from Stopcast. If you have any questions please make sure to send them in prior to showtime to info@twistednether.net or bring them to the chatroom!

  • When is it?: This live show is scheduled for Sunday, October 16th at 8pm PT (11pm ET). Not sure what time that is for you? Use this handy-dandy time converter!
  • Where do I go? To participate on the live show, you will need to go to the TNB Live Show page to connect with the stream. See, totally easy. If you are having issues then go to the Ustream page. Don’t forget to register/login to UStream so you can chat with us!
  • Some general ground rules:
    1. Be nice. If you say very inappropriate things be aware you will be kicked from the room. We are doing this to have a great time, come with a beer, come during a raid, come how you wish, just don’t come to cause trouble.
    2. You may ask questions to the participants during the show, but we reserve the right to use them if and when we can. We will be monitoring the chat room and if we can we will use the comments during the show. We love that you are with us, but we will have to weave them in. Even if it isn’t asked, we all appreciate your questions!

Outside of that, we will love to have you join us and partake in an enlightening discussion that is sure to follow! Hope to see you there!
