I died laughing - ty so much Galertruby, for making me laugh out loud at work. They'll take my Zune away if I let that happen again.

Very interesting hearing from a DK; I'll have to check out the blog posts to get some information on actually playing one.

Ahh. I didn't know that. I never had a problem with it, but then again I just searched my computer for wav files and used them. They were unique to WoW, but not to games themselves.

@Crofe: Yeah, it's not terribly hard at all. It's just the issue of finding the effects in (or finagling the effects into) the correct bitrate, sampling, etc.: WoW is pretty picky about its sound effects, iirc.

@Noobiewan: I lol'd. :D

I'm not sure how Stop handles his sound effects in ViperWatch, but I've played around with sounds for other addons. It's not hard at all to get a custom sound to play. It's one line of code (which I don't recall right off the top of my head). The hardest part for me was finding it.

Second, I agree with Bre about skill development. I soloed almost exclusively from 1-70 on my Hunter because I started playing him after TBC came out. I never used a trap until I was 70, because I had no need to. I used a Gorilla (back before everyone had one) who kept aggro on more than one mob and could take hits, so I never needed to CC soloing. I got lucky, the first 70 instance I went to there was another hunter who didn't mind trapping everything and explaining what he was doing. It's not that I couldn't trap, it's that I'd never had to do it. Experimenting in groups isn't a good idea. But experimenting in raids is an even worse idea, so groups are a good time to learn those skills.

Also, although I was pointed here by reading BRK, I'm glad I was. You've got a very nice podcast and it reminds me somewhat of Inside the Actor's Studio. Keep up the good work.

Thank you! I'm so annoyed when people tag mobs that have my Hunter's Mark on them. >.>
